TeleBid is an exciting and unique eCommerce start-up that has been running in mainland Europe for two years and is now live in the UK.
We run a unique business managing fast-paced on-line auctions of new products. We sell a range of technology products, appliances and lifestyle goods, including notebook computers, vacuum cleaners and handbags. By charging a small amount for each bid placed we're able to offer the winners incredible deals, and give everyone who bids a thrill along the way.
The business is led by CEO Gunnar Piening , who previously was Managing Director at Ciao - the on-line shopping comparison and market research business.
TeleBid is backed by Wellington Partners (http://www.wellington-partners.com/), [^] who also backed Alando (which became eBay Germany) as well as Ciao.
Country Manager - Nigel Whiteoak
Nigel joined TeleBid after nine years working in eCommerce, most recently at eBay. When not juggling priorities or doing the stuff that doesn't fit in anyone else's job description, you'll find him running up hills or paddling a sea-kayak.
Marketing Manager - Feli von Keyserlingk
Great, great, great... (add some greats)... grand-daughter of William the Conqueror (really), Feli can turn her hand to pretty much anything and secretly wants to be a rock'n'roll star (don't we all?)
Supplier Manager - Mark Macdonald
Mark gets to buy TVs, laptops and PS3s for a living: how cool is that? It's his hard work that helps us offer you such great bargains. A neuro-scientist by training, he now uses his brain-reading skills to help negotiate fantastic deals with our suppliers.
Designer - Adam Pluck
Adam makes sure that we look presentable. At least on-line. Joining us from a Marine Supplies business, he's had to adapt from pumps, drives and gearboxes to TVs, watches and phones. And boy, doesn't he make you want to bid on one of them?
Marketing Analyst - Andrew Harkins
Andrew helps run TeleBid's marketing campaigns and is in charge of creating order out of chaos as our resident number cruncher. Andrew turned down a career as a rising TV extra in order to join the team but is looking forward to starring as himself in 'TeleBid the Movie'.
